Phil is acknowledged as one of the leading golf Professionals in the region and has been Nottinghamshire’s number 1 player a record 6 times. In recognition of his many achievements and contributions in Golf he had the honour of becoming the 2013/14 Midland PGA Captain. As a Past County Coach at every level Phil continues to play a strong role in the development of some of the best amateur and professional players in the area.

The Journey so far

Phil got into golf relatively late after joining Coxmoor golf club as a 15 year old. A good all round sportsman and with a new passion for golf his first handicap was 15. A year later he surprised everyone even himself by winning the prestigious national under 18 Mcgregor trophy turning the heads of the England selectors. Now part of national coaching and development programmes he quickly got his handicap down to +1 within 2 years. Competing at the highest level as an amateur for the next 6 years gave invaluable experience and a belief of a future in the game.

He joined the professional ranks in 1995 and became a fully qualified member of the PGA in 1998. Since then he has played on 3 world tours, won over 100 professional tournaments and has a number of course records to his name. From his own personal development as a player and knowledge gained from elite coaches and mentors along the way, Phil has a strong understanding of what it takes to improve.

Acknowledged as one of the leading PGA golf instructors in the region Phil combines 25 of teaching experience with straightforward coaching techniques. Whether you’re an advanced player or beginner inspired to get into Golf you will gain a clear understanding of how to get the most from your game.
